~ I don't have a domain name (website address), can Mellow Web Design get one for me?

Yes, Mellow Web Design can register your site's domain name. A domain name is part of our "Hosting and Maintenance" package, which is optional to all clients when they get a website designed by us. You tell us what domain name you'd like, and if it's available, we'll snatch it up for you !!!

~ If Mellow Web Design registers my domain name, do I still own it?

Yes, you own the domain name. The name would need to renewed on a yearly basis, but as long as you keep up with the renewal fees, the domain is yours; Mellow Web Design simply maintains it for you. In the event you decide to no longer work with Mellow Web Design (something we obviously hope will never happen) you do have the option to take your domain name and site to a different company. They are your property, and you can do with them what you wish.

~ How often do I need to renew my domain name?

Domain name and hosting fees are renewed on a yearly basis.

~ If I already own a domain name, can Mellow Web Design still host my website?

Yes, Mellow Web Design can still host your site in the event you independently registered your domain name. There are a couple of different options available to you in that situation, and we'll gladly run through all of them with you if the situation arises.

~ What does "hosting and maintenance" mean?

In laymans terms, "hosting and maintenance" means that Mellow Web Design becomes your point of contact for anything and everything website related.

If we break it down, the "hosting" means that we would make sure your website is always functioning properly, and in the rare event it's not, it means that you can contact us directly and we'll quickly take care of the issues for you.

The "maintenance" means that if you ever need any changes made to your website, you simply touch base with us and we take care of it for you. Once the site's designed, you have free reign to make changes as frequently as you'd like. The site is yours, so you can tweak it and change it as often, or as little, as you wish.

~ Can Mellow Web Design still design my site if I don’t want them to host it?

Of course we can !!! In the event you want a different company to host your website, Mellow Web Design can still design it for you. In the event you choose to do this however, Mellow Web Design is not responsible for any issues you may run into with the outside hosting company. We'll simply design a really cool looking website for you, and you can do whatever you want with it !!!

~ How long does it take for a website to be designed?

On average, most websites we design are completed within a 4-6 weeks, but it's really dependant on how quickly you provide us with the information needed to complete the content portion of the website. We've had some websites that were designed in a week, and we've had others that took the full 6 weeks. It's really a situation by situation basis, but we'll make sure you're aware of the timeline every step of the way.

~ If my business does not have a logo, can Mellow Web Design create one for me for use on the site?

You bet we can !!! If Mellow Web Design is creating a site for you, and your company does not have a logo, we will gladly design one for you to use on the site. Also, if you don't need a website but still want a logo designed, Mellow Web Design also offers graphic design services; that means that if you're in need of a logo for your company or event, and you don't need an entire website built, we can create the graphics for you.

~ Am I allowed to use a logo Mellow creates for me in other outlets (business cards, advertisements, etc.)?

Absolutely. Any logos we design are yours, and you can feel free to use them in whatever form you wish. We will also gladly provide you with copies of the logo in various sizes, so you can easily use it in whatever ways you see fit.

~ What kind of instructions do I need to provide Mellow Web Design in order to create a site?

That's completely up to you. Some clients give us detailed step by step blueprints as to how they want their site to look, while others give us the freedom to let our creative juices flow, allowing us to come up with something that we believe you'd like. In either situation, we're going to work hand-in-hand with you every step of the way to ensure that the site we create is the site you want, end of story.

~ How competitive is Mellow Web Design’s pricing?

This may sound like a sales pitch, but no website design studio is more affordable than Mellow Web Design.

Seriously, they're not.

We offer customized website design for a fraction of the cost of most of our competitors. If you don't believe us, just look around. We highly doubt you're going to find any company that offers the service we do for the price we do, and if you do, be sure to read the fine print, because there's more than likely a catch.

~ Will this be stressful for me?

For many people, life is stressful enough; creating a website shouldn't be. We promise that working with Mellow Web Design to build your website will be completely hassle and stress free. If anything, it's going to be a fun process for you. Trust us, we don't like stress any more than you do.
